Why “No Pain” Does NOT Mean You’re Healthy EP 119
Most people think the hardest part of health is getting started. It’s not.The most dangerous moment is when you start feeling better. In this episode, Dr. Ryan and Ashley break down why feeling better is often the point where people unknowingly sabotage their health — and why healing better requires consistency, rhythm, and long-term thinking. They unpack the difference between motivation and discipline, short-term relief and long-term healing, and why health built on feelings always collapses under pressure. You’ll hear powerful real-world stories — from gym clients, chiropractic patients, kids with chronic head...

The Real Cause of Spinal Degeneration (HINT: Not Your AGE) EP 117
Spinal degeneration is one of the most misunderstood diagnoses in modern healthcare. Most people are told it’s just “normal wear and tear.” Something that happens with age. But if degeneration were caused by aging alone, every bone in the spine would break down at the same rate—and that simply doesn’t happen. In this episode of Align Your Health, Dr. Ryan and Ashley explain what spinal degeneration actually is, why it’s common but not normal, and how loss of motion, injury, posture, and long-term stress drive the degenerative process—often silently, over decades.

The Metabolism Lie: Age Isn’t the Problem EP 116
Most people believe metabolism slows down with age.But if that were truly the cause, humans wouldn’t have survived. Period. In this episode of Align Your Health, Dr. Ryan and Ashley explain why metabolism isn’t a “calories in, calories out” equation—and why it’s not something you either have or don’t have. Metabolism is your body’s ability to adapt over time: breathing, healing, hormone production, digestion, brain function, energy output, and recovery, all driven by how your cells function under stress and demand. This conversation challenges the modern obsession with s...

Why GLP-1's Can't Save Your Metabolism EP 115
Metabolism isn’t a weight-loss problem. It’s an energy problem at the cellular level. In this episode of Align Your Health, Dr. Ryan and Ashley break down what metabolism actually is—and why most people can’t even “point to it.” They explain how metabolism reflects the rate and efficiency of cellular function, what mitochondria have to do with energy, hormones, recovery, fat loss, and inflammation, and why so many people stay stuck chasing thyroid meds, blood sugar numbers, or GLP-1 injections without ever addressing the real root. This conversation reframes metabolism away from calorie...

BREAKING: Germs Don't Make You Sick EP 114
Every winter, the same narrative returns.Germs are the enemy.Symptoms mean you were attacked.Avoid exposure at all costs. In this episode of Align Your Health, Dr. Ryan and Ashley challenge that entire framework. If germs were the true cause of sickness, exposure would create illness every time—but it doesn’t. Some people get sick, others don’t. Some recover quickly, others spiral. So the more important question isn’t “What did you catch?” It’s “What condition was your body in when you encountered it?”This conversation breaks down germ theory versus...

Why MDs Don’t “Get” Chiropractic EP 112
Most people assume their medical doctor understands chiropractic. In reality, they were never trained to think that way.In this episode of Align Your Health, Dr. Ryan and Ashley explain why many MDs are confused — or even dismissive — when patients say they see a chiropractor, and why that reaction has far more to do with education, training models, and outcomes data than opinion or ego. This conversation is not necessarily anti-medicine.It’s pro-truth.We break down the fundamental difference between diagnosis-driven sick care and vitalistic, nervous-system-based chiropractic, why the two systems ask entirely different questions, and why insurance compan...
