El portal Screen.ly neix amb la intenció de passar per sobre del sistema de distribució de cinema i donar el poder a l'espectador per una banda i al cineasta per l'altra. Amb un sistema de prepagament similar al micromecenatge, Screenly facilita al públic escullir la pel·lícula i la sala de projecció amb el repte d'aconseguir el mínim d'audiència perquè els seus impulsors aconsegueixin la cinta i el recinte. Tot plegat es tracta d'una iniciativa que neix a la xarxa per acabar a la sala. Marc Prades és un dels seus creadors.
