It was blocking them form their last rappel. They went back up canyon and above the cat to try to get him to go back out of the narrows section he was in. it jumped 90 ft... They were then able to finish the last rappel and hike out of the canyon. The hope is that the Mountain lion was also able to hike out now that he was also on the canyon floor. It hurt really bad!! He was trying to steam over a shallow pothole so he would get wet. He would have to get wet later in the canyon anyway. He said in hide sight he would have just gone through the shallow pool knowing he would have to get wet later. The risk was not worth the consequence that day. She was behind a waterfall deep in the canyon with a broken back and pelvis. The Snohomish SAR team was able to get to her and air lift her out. Durig her healing process Nichole turned back to yoga to help her with the mental aspects of healing.
