Het eind van het eerste trimester komt in zicht, maar voordat het zover is moeten er toch eerst nog wat zaken geregeld worden. Namelijk een sociaal medische indicatie! Kortgezegd, een SMI. En omdat deze bedoeld is voor ouders die door een beperking of handicap niet/minder kunnen werken en zorgen, moet deze regeling uiteraard éxtra omslachtig in elkaar zitten. Want we mogen ons natuurlijk niet gaan vervelen! Toch was het uiteindelijk het regelen van de kraamzorg wat ons de meeste kopzorgen gaf. De update is deze aflevering maar kort. Tamar en Sophie reden naar Gent, hoorden wanneer de ivf waarschijnlijk kon beginnen en kregen een map. Daarna bespreken ze voor de zoveelste keer administratief gedoe rondom het zaadtransport.Na dit eerste kwartier houden Tamar en Sophie intense discussies over validisme bij embryoselectie en de registratie van transgender ouders, maar vooral over genderautonoom ouderschap. Dit is misschien meer een aflevering voor die mensen die nog naar ons zouden luisteren als we een boodschappenlijstje zouden voorlezen dan voor die mensen die onze podcast teveel op een redactievergadering vinden lijken. We zijn twee weken verder, Pasen is net voorbij, maar Tamar broedt nog op haar ei. Sophie en Tamar zijn namelijk begonnen aan de cyclus waarin er een diepvries-embryo zal worden teruggeplaatst.
