Allard heeft zijn leven lang onder het juk van zijn moeder geleefd en begint in haar afwezigheid steeds zelfstandiger te worden. In hem ontwikkelt zich een onwrikbaar plan om de rollen om te draaien, hoezeer Mieke hem daar ook van poogt te weerhouden.
