A signing ceremony was held April 21 for Alex Schreiner, a senior at Thomasville High School, in the school library. He has been awarded a Famous Maroon Band Scholarship at Mississippi State University in Starkville, which secures his position in the marching band. Dr. Brad Jones is a 2000 alumnus of Mississippi State University and the university's honors program, which predated the Shackouls Honors College. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from MSU and Georgia Tech. Happy Halloween from the Shackouls Honors College at Mississippi State University! As a Halloween treat we present a full cast recording of the ancient Roman play Oedipus written by Seneca the Minor.Each year the students of the Shackouls Honors College field a production of an ancient Greek or Roman play, but this year things have been different. Covid-19 prevented our students from following the traditional path, so in order to be as safe as possible without students losing the experience of performing, the College produced the radio drama to which you are about to listen.
