The 365 Commitment
Day 159 - Every Person Needs a Temple
A temple? You are now wondering what religion I am going to push on you. No, that is not what I am here to do. However, I am going to try to emphasize the need for you to discover what your temple is. I have no criticism for religions that practice temple worship. There are many, and I know full well that temple attendance is usually at the center of focus on their worship. A physical location where they might commune with the deity and perform important and sacred ceremonies. However, that is not the temple that I am...

Here's A Guy
Episode 132: The Temple of the Crystal Dook
It's officially Halloween. Well, actually, it's not. I've literally said one thing so far and it was untrue. Just total scumbag behavior. Here's what I really meant: for all intents and purposes, it's Halloween, if we're confining ourselves to the context of Here's a Guy scheduling. Jeez, speaking of scary! The point is, this is the last Mayhem Month main episode for 2024, and what a journey it's been. We've got a heavy dose of real life horrors, some shocking, some stupid, and some just depressing. And if that doesn't describe our reality, what does? We wouldn't have it any...

Psalm 74 - Why God?
Send us a textO God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture? Psalms 74:1Do you ever feel like the people in the Bible are blessed because they're so good? Or, do you feel like God hears their prayers but not yours? Psalm 74 and yesterday's, Psalm 73, are examples of people thinking and saying the same things I do! Why does that person that does evil prosper? How long will these trials last? The Lord is in His holy temple...
Psalms 11:4-7 (Spurgeon's Abridged Commentary). The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes see, his eyelids try the children of men. The Lord tries the righteous, but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire, and brimstone, and a horrible tempest. This shlal be the portion of their cup. For the righteous Lord loves righteousness. His countenance does behold the upright.
