The JQC was founded by Thomas Coggin, Ruth Coggin, and Guy Trangos. From 2016 to late 2018 Thomas and Guy lived in Boston, Massachusetts. Thomas became a member of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus and had an incredible experience. Having always wanted to start a queer chorus in Johannesburg Thomas felt more inspired than ever by his Boston experience.
