(LISTEN): Mizzou atmospheric science professor Tony Lupo discusses historic Texas flooding on "Wake Up Missouri"
The historic deadly flooding in Texas has prompted the deployment of 52 members of Columbia-based Missouri Task Force One (MO-TF1) to the Lone Star State. The “Dallas Morning News” reports there are at least 104 confirmed deaths from the Texas flooding, and searches are continuing on this Tuesday morning. MO-TF1 is part of the Boone County Fire Protection District, and they’ve been deployed with a focus on water rescue operations and human remains detection (HRD) capabilities.
