Jahrhunderts hat wie keine andere zur Beachtung des „A/anderen“ aufgerufen und sich selbst an die Grenze des Denkbaren und eurozentrischer Artikulation zu treiben gesucht. Unter der Formel eines „Denkens des Außen“ wurden die Autorposition, die Konzentration der Philosophie auf die Frage der menschlichen Existenz, herkömmliche Ontologien und Unterteilungen wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen in Frage gestellt. Diese wurden ersetzt durch Versuche des Sprechenlassens der diskursiven Strukturen selbst, durch entgrenzende und entanthropomorphisierende Lektüren von Literatur und Kunst, durch Begriffserfindungen, disziplintransversale Theorieentwürfe usf.

Die Gründe dafür arbeitete er auf Grundlage einer alternativen Lesart der Theorien von Entropie und Negentropie heraus. In einem Parcours durch die europäische Philosophiegeschichte suchte er Anhaltspunkte für eine sinnvolle Gestaltung der Digitalisierung; ein aktuelles Projekt aus der Pariser Banlieue illustrierte beispielhaft seine Vision der digitalen Souveränität.

I examine the institutional proposals offered by deep pluralist, epistocratic and lottocratic conceptions of democracy. Auf der Suche nach einer Kultur des Friedens 100 Jahre nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs (21.11.2018)In jeweils einem Impulsreferat und dem anschließenden Podiumsgespräch gingen der französische Philosoph Prof. Dr. Jean-Luc Nancy (Universität Straßburg) und der Ministerpräsident MdL Winfried Kretschmann der Frage nach, was es bedeuten könnte, den Krieg tatsächlich zu überwinden und an einer Kultur des Friedens zu arbeiten. Sie bauten dabei verschiedene Brücken, zwischen Frankreich und Deutschland, Straßburg und Stuttgart, aber auch zwischen der Philosophie und der Politik.

Januar 2019 zeigte der renommierte holländische Politologe, Stadtplaner und Professor für Urban Futures, Maarten Hajer, wie die Zukunft in die Gegenwart geholt werden kann. Er verknüpfte dabei seine Erfahrungen der wissenschaftlichen Analyse mit jenen der Politikberatung und der künstlerischen Eröffnung neuer Denkhorizonte.
