One injured in Tuesday crashOne person was sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash on nine-thousand north at Career Center Road Tuesday morning. Reports say it was just after eight yesterday morning when a westbound car slowed to turn south onto Career Center Road and was hit from behind by a motorcycle which continued on and hit another car that was traveling eastbound through the intersection. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries. There's no word of his condition. There were no other injuries reported in the crash.

Late last week it was announced Behring plans to make a 15 percent cut to its workforce and close of 22 of it's plasma donation centers in the U.S. In an email, CSL Behring representatives say the 15 percent reduction in workforce will be across their global business and won't target any one facility. Milner Media Farm Services Director Mike Perrine passes at 83Word reached us Wednesday afternoon of the passing of Milner Media Farm Services Director Mike Perrine. Mike's radio career spanned some six decades, including a stint with Tribune Radio Networks, where he worked alongside industry giants Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson. In 1995 Mike came to the Kankakee area to begin his time as farm director for another local radio station, before moving to Milner Media in 2013. In November 2023, he was inducted into the National Association of Farm Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Mike was 83 years old.

Former GCMS teacher ordered held until trialA former Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley teacher charged with sexually abusing a student will remain in custody. Robert Dinkins was denied pre-trial released while appearing in Ford County court yesterday. He was arrested earlier this month in Macon, Georgia on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. An investigation was launched in March after the parents of a GCMS student said their child had received concerning texts from Dinkins.
