2023年8月24日 新紀元大學學院中文大廳2023《海》 講者:李新元(台南東門巴克禮歷史教育推廣協會總幹事) 日期:2023年8月24日(星期四) 時間:14.30-16.30 地點:新紀元大學學院B305課室 主持人: 潘紫萱、黃詩嘉、葉齊恩(新紀元大學學院中文傳播大學基礎課程學生) 主辦單位:新紀元大學學院中文系中文傳播大學基礎課程 ================================= 00:00:00 片頭 00:00:27 策劃人開場 00:01:44 中文系主任致辭 00:07:08 主持人接棒 00:08:32 主題分享 01:36:10 Q&A環節 01:51:39 策劃人結語 01:57:44 片尾 ================================= 片頭+片尾音樂:Upbeat Instrumental Work Music | Background Happy Energetic Relaxing Music for Working Fast & Focus 海報設計:葉齊恩、黃詩嘉 ================================= 《跨越海洋的宣教語言:巴克禮牧師的語言教育與文化資產保存》講座側記 主講人:李新元(台南東門巴克禮歷史教育推廣協會總幹) 側記:黃詩嘉(新紀元大學學院中文傳播大學基礎課程學生) ================================= 側記: 終於,本次中文大講堂之「海」系列講座來到最終場! 主講人李新元先生從台灣遠道而來,給予了此次系列講座最完美的句點! 李老師作為台南市東門巴克禮歷史教育推廣協會總幹事以及成功大學歷史學系博士候選人,將歷史與巴克利牧師的事蹟相結合為我們帶來了一場生動且深刻的講座盛宴! 李老師開頭點題,為大家科普白話(福建羅馬拼音)文體。 沒想到這被譽為台灣地域意識與母語發展符號的台灣話拼音竟發源於馬六甲。 然而台灣話(今稱:閩南語)卻可分為很多門派,這可追溯到清朝,閩南語還可深入細分為泉州話、漳州話與廈門話等,被稱為台灣話則是日本 時代以後,是當時的日本人提出的概念,會在祖籍地寫下福(福建),廣(廣東/客家),熟(熟番)等以區分人種。 白話字其實是一種幫助傳教士認識福建話以方便傳福音的福建羅馬拼音,最早是幫助馬六甲當地的傳教士與華人溝通的媒介。 根據史料記載在當初文化普及率極地的情況下,白話字推進了華人漢字教育漸漸的也開始當作文字來使用。 李老師在提到白話文的普及與在台灣的推廣部分時說道,馬禮遜最早在進行華文的宣教地點竟是馬六甲。 1818年由馬禮遜建立的英華書院寓意著漢文翻譯出版社的開始,但在鴉片戰爭後英華書院便遷址至香港。 另外還有一位重大的功臣-米憐(William Milne)。 他於馬六甲出版《察世俗每月統記傳》,更成為了西方宣教士首本影刷的中文雜誌。 也擔任了英華書院的第一任校長,教育步調不止於宗教,更有四書五經、歷史、地理等完善的教育內容! 巴克禮牧師(George Leslie Mackay),不只是上帝的使者也是科學家。 在巴克禮牧師立志成為牧師後,被杜嘉德的見證感動,在宣教用人之際,決定前往台灣宣教。 除了一心宣教,巴克利牧師投身教育在1877年,設立了大學推進了台灣的教育進程。 同時設立了中學,女學等,使得台南新樓(今台南神學院)成為了第一個完整的西式教育中心。 1885年牧師也在台南聚珍堂發行第一期也是台灣的第一份報紙《台南府城教會報》牧師也在1895年日軍攻台時,協助向日方交涉,使日軍和平入城,保住台灣人民的 安全。 牧師致力於將聖經的部分內容翻譯成當地方言,他的翻譯工作著重於使聖經的教義更貼近台灣人民的生活和文化背景。 白話字在台灣的應用早已滲透到日常生活,最初只是讓人們認識聖經,傳播福音,以及記錄宣教期間的一切,以供後人查閱。 然而,更重要的是,它幫助國家提高受教育率,提升了人民的知識水準。 由於其簡單易學的特點,白話字有助於學生更快學習中華文化,甚至提高數理方面的認知。 這對全面提升人民的知識水平,推動教育的發展起到了積極作用。 白話字逐漸迎來巔峰,吸引了數十萬名讀者。 怎麼料白話字還是迎來了戒嚴時期,期間白話字的發展受阻。 日本時代到戰後的國語運動,台語文的發展受到壓制。 白色恐怖時期,中華民國政府沒收白話文聖經、聖詩。 傳福音難度增加。 1969年以後,教會公報禁止使用白話字,改用漢字。 白話字逐漸被取代。 縱然有了一系列的復甦白話字運動例:母語運動。 但白話字的科普度還是無可避免地持續走低。 歷史總是奇妙的相似,白話字作為曾經風光鼎盛的存在,帶動福建話的影響力。 雖風光不再,但從馬來亞一路來到台灣,在台灣因社會環境影響而普及後回流至影響東南亞福建文化的光景還是令人欣慰。 如今越來越多的講母語運動,讓這些塵封已久的歷史人物、事蹟被後人津津樂道。 我們不難看出世人對母語的重視度再逐漸增加,我們也看見了世界的連結性,感受到了世界的奇妙物語。 期待有朝一日,母語能夠迎來一場盛大的文藝復興!
