Newman on Tap Presents
Christian Manhood - William Yanek
William Yanek, FOCUS missionary at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota looks closely Newman’s sermon “Christian Manhood”. Here William finds Newman explaining that true manhood is found when we break from our desire for worldly things and grow to desire only unity with God. This desire, provided by the Holy Spirit, is not a zero-sum game. We don’t earn His infinite mercy. Entering into His mercy is the only important thing. If our desires end only in worldly things, we become stuck and slaves to things of this world rather than pursue the ultimate beatitude for whic...

To date, 1,200 practitioners from 75 countries have been trained using the Walsh approach. For those unfamiliar, the Walsh Research Institute, founded by Dr. William Walsh, has looked at the nutrient levels of over 30,000 people with brain-related symptoms and found a surprisingly small number of nutrient imbalances (low zinc, high copper, high pyrroles, and methylation imbalances) that repeatedly show up. We address these imbalances in those with depression, anxiety, panic, obsessions, compulsions, inattention, brain fog, hyperactivity, autism, dementia, psychosis, and mood swings with significant an...

Too Much Neurotransmitter Activity Part 2 of 2 (Second Example - COMT & MAOA Gene Variants)
Too much neurotransmitter activity can cause nervousness, irritability, insomnia and in some cases mania and psychosis. This can also contribute to pain symptoms, headaches, and increased blood pressure and heart rate. One root cause is an inability to effectively break down neurotransmitters. Two genes involved in this process are the COMT and MAO genes. COMT is also involved in the metabolism of estrogen. If they are "slow," we can struggle with symptoms of high neurotransmitter activity, low stress tolerance and in the case of COMT, high estrogen symptoms. In this podcast, I'll discuss the many factors that...
