REQUIEM METAL PODCASTREQUIEM METAL PODCASTDawn: SlaughtersunIn the next few episodes we're going to be spotlighting records that we feel are underrated or widely unknown. This installment is Sweden's Dawn. A band that were unfortunately lumped into the glut of the late 90s symphonic black metal and hyperspeed melodic death metal. Dawn, however stand above the rest in content and delivery. Bask in the Slaughtersun.   Executive Producer: Adrian Camoens   "The Knell and the World", Slaughtersun (1998)   Talkset #1 "Falcula", Slaughtersun (1998) "Ride the Wings of Pestilence", Slaughtersun (1998)   Talkset #2 2012-07-281h 31REQUIEM METAL PODCASTREQUIEM METAL PODCASTAura NoirSince we were just in Norway last episode, it only seemed logical to stick around and discuss the black thrash attack of Aura Noir.   Executive Producer: Adrian Camoens   "Caged Wrath", Black Thrash Attack (1996)   Talkset #1 "Forlorn Blessing to the Dreamking", Dreams Like Deserts (1995) "Wretched Face of Evil", Black Thrash Attack (1996) "Black Thrash Attack", Black Thrash Attack (1996) "Blood Unity", Deep Tracts of Hell (1998) "Black Deluge Night", The Merciless (2004)   Talkset #2 "Funeral Thrash", The Merciless (2004) 2012-04-251h 37REQUIEM METAL PODCASTREQUIEM METAL PODCASTEucharistSweden seems to be our goto country, so it's no surprise we're back to discuss one of the obscure gems of the early 90s... We basically go through every era of their career in this crucial episode.   Executive Producer: Adrian Camoens   "The View", Deaf Metal Sampler (1993)   Talkset #1 "Into the Cosmic Sph...2011-07-291h 27REQUIEM METAL PODCASTREQUIEM METAL PODCASTUnanimatedWe're back to our favorite metal country, Sweden. This time to discuss one of the underrated acts that got overshadowed by the likes of Dissection and their ilk, Unanimated. Their pedigree is quite impressive, with members of Merciless, Entombed, Desultory, Dismember, General Surgery, Watain and Carbonized calling Unanimated home. They only put out two records, one in 1993 another in 1995, then came a 14-year hiatus. In 2009 they released the fantastic In the Light of Darkness album, which further cemented their place on the blackened death throne. With over a decade disbanded, Unanimated return with all the vigor and fire of...2011-01-092h 19
