Deep ElectronicsDeep ElectronicsDeep Electronics # 430 - Scape OneWelcome to a brand new chapter of Deep Electronics. The serie brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. Today is the release of a new mixtape called The Sky Has Years by returning artist Scape One About: Kurt Baggaley, also known under the alias as Scape One is an electronic music producer based in England. Over the course of his career his music has ranged from driving futuristic electro of his early EPs to more deep and ambient electronica of his Tau Sagittarii releases. The radio was tuned to the 19 meters band, I didn’t interfere at all... so technically, it‘s a field recording. I am constantly surprised of the musical content you can find in-between shortwave radio stations. As most commercial radio stations have abandoned analog radio in favor of internet publishing, it has become a pool of sonic madness. You’ll hear Muezzin singing, Chinese propaganda, morse clusters, number stations, languages you can’t decipher and lots, lots, and lots of sonically interesting interference. The birds were singing outside, and as I live right in the noisy city center, that‘s an unusual sound tapestry. The birds weren’t as loud as on the recording, but they sounded very cheerful… so I got up and started my field recorder. To this recording, I added a self made drone; some chords came from Una Corda; a simple Operator bass; some pings from Aalto (lovely VST ensemble from Madrona labs). The fading organ is the „Enoeque“ preset patch I recently did for Rhythmic Robot’s Orgatone 601. * * * ** Disquiet Jun...2016-03-0604 minanalocanalocTen Ton Pin [disquiet0217-formsong]**Production Notes** I started Thursday night. I was too tired to continue, so I did the finishing touches on Friday (arranging, tweaking, compression, sidechaining and mixing) - took me four hours all in all.
