The first event from Toronto-based psyLush, teaming up with the powerhouse that is Promise for a Sunday rager. The venue? The fantastic 6 Noble St structure that used to house the Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement. What started as a 3 room gathering of techno, drum & bass, and psytrance, grew to a 4 room experience that took over the entire place! Art installations lined the labyrinthine halls, and truly the festival vibe was brought to us all at a time when we sorely need it (read: late February!)

I was under orders to "wake them up really gently, especially at the start" so I had a chance to toy around with a number of the nice ambient numbers I rarely get to play.

With the forecast calling for torrential rains, the beautiful blue skies we were graced with were even more wonderfully appreciated.
Typically for my downtempo sets (such as those for the Bazaar), they tend to be a little darker. I didn't want to tote around melancholy on a sunny Sunday morning, so as I prepared tracks in advance, I tried to keep things a bit lighter, while still keeping my signature sound.
