It's flat and very similar to Mykonos, with white-washed buildings and winding streets. It has many types of beaches. Some are windy and perfect for kite surfing. Naxos, on the other hand, is more mountainous and green. There are a few good hikes. It's known as a family island and has many calm and shallow beaches. Naxos seems slightly less expensive with a stronger focus on local Greek food. Both have very nice beach clubs.
