In this passage, Jesus teaches the crowd that He is the living bread that came down from heaven and that whoever eats this bread will live forever. He offers us heavenly bread for eternal life, but we must eat it. Faith in Jesus is not tasting or admiring, but eating. Jesus tells us that we must have him within us, and we must eat from him.
