Dr. Shelly Meyers is currently the Dean of Accreditation and soon to be Dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences as Limestone University in South Carolina. She has been in education for 20 years including public school teaching, contract homeschooling, tutoring, consulting, accreditation, and teacher preparation.
She was a Deans for Impact Fellow, White House Innovator for Technology in Teacher Preparation under the Obama administration, and faculty leader for NASA Langley's Minority Serving Institution Pre-service Teacher Institute. She resides in South Carolina with her husband, two teenagers, and a chocolate lab.
Dr. Meyers holds her degrees in Education from Missouri Valley College, Walden University, and Gardner-Webb University. She enjoys reading, travel, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. Her current interests are in place-based learning and teaching young leaders the benefits of leadership as well as the importance of sabbath in leadership.
