The show provided an outlet for LGBTQI people and issues well before the acceptance we have today – with Gaywaves’ creators showing the wider community what diversity was really all about. One of the show’s contributors, Prue Borthwick, talks here about a particularly controversial segment, the 1982 “Lesbian Sex” special. It saw 2SER up before Australian Broadcasting Tribunal and found guilty of indecency.
