Da kann es im Studio gerne schonmal passieren, dass ich akustische Instrumente durch den Modular jage und die Aufnahme danach am Computer komplett in Einzelteile zerlege. Dadurch kann sich gerne auch mal die komplette Ästhetik eines Klangs verändern. Alles kann - nichts muss! Mal so, mal so. Ich finde, es ist wichtig da eine gewisse Offenheit mitzubringen, um immer wieder neue Klangwelten zu eröffnen.

A few weeks before the pandemic lockdown, I got back from a tour in Mexico and had already made arrangements to move from Oslo to Berlin with my girlfriend. I've been a collector and supplier of music to my friends before I was a DJ. Always on the lookout for new sound. I basically stumbled into DJing. It started when I worked as a barkeeper and put on my music and got encouraged by the feedback. ▌I What’s your history with music in general and DJ-ing especially?
As for most people I believe, music has always been there. I went to a music school for 7 years and finished a piano class there as a kid. Then I learned playing guitar in high school. Later in my student years I started going out and a friend had a shitty Reloop controller that I was playing around with at predrinks and afters. At some point I realised that I want to learn to play with records and that is when it all really started for me.

I’m not really into festivals - but Waking Life in Portugal and Paradise City in Belgium seem really nice! As a favorite club, I will name Heideglühen and there are a lot of reasons. Music is the first one, of course, but among others, I can name safety and comfort, and I love that there's always a huge chance to meet someone you know.

First, I listened to a few previous mixes on the United We Stream Soundcloud page. I wanted to create something unique to my style but also within the realm and style of the previous DJ's. Next, I went through my catalogue of music and put songs into sub-folders and of course added new releases as the time neared for my set to be due. ▌I Did your approach on creating music change during the pandemic and did it maybe even influence your style?
My approach definitely changed a lot since the pandemic. March 2020 was when I decided to transition from in the box production, to out of the box. I bought a Digitakt in July 2020 and since then have solely focused on creating music externally. Doing this has definitely changed my style a lot, the new music I'm writing is much less structured and more flow based.
