Kenya’s standards regulator has suspended the sale of 10 cooking oil products over health and quality concerns. The Kenya Bureau of Standards says the brands failed routine quality tests and ordered that the brands be withdrawn from shelves immediately. The standards body however clarified that the directive was not a ban, but a temporary suspension until the manufacturers meet specified quality requirements. The Jack Ma Foundation continues commitment to addressing barriers to economic development and entrepreneurship across Africa in various ways. Their current and ongoing initiative is the 2020 Africa's Business Heroes (ABH) prize competition which identifies and awards top outstanding business heroes from across Africa who are creating significant impact and driving change in their local communities. Kenya to send four swimmers to the Fina World Championships in Korea
Kenya will send a total of four swimmers to the Fina World Championships in Korea. The championships are set to take place from July 12- July 28. The swimmers reached qualification times after competing at the Swimming Nationals trials at the Aquatic Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi last weekend. Channel Africa's Rachel Makhura spoke to Conrad Thrope who is the Secretariat of the Swimming Kenya Federation about the championships and also the current state of swimming in Kenya.
