Меня здорово проняла музыка на сборнике. Я быстро нашел парней, которые стоят за этой пластинкой и подробно расспросил обо всем насущном. Сборник, как оказалось, был записан в 2014ом на студии в Лидсе. Студия, скрупулёзная собранная и обжитая двумя совершенно повернутыми на музыке людьми. Нил и Пит долгие годы собирали самое различное аналоговое оборудование: рекордеры, компрессоры, эквалайзеры, микрофоны, усилители, микшеры и тому подобное. Собрав это в каскад настоящей аналоговой студии 70х, парни записывают совершенно потрясающую музыку, наполненную теплым звуком и мягким шумом аналогового оборудования.
Буквально пару недель назад на ATA Records вышел новый сингл от, признаюсь, ранее не известной мне певицы Рейчел Модест (Rachel Modest). Потрясающий кавер на знаменитую вещь Ben E King - I (Who Have Nothing)

Что же касается самой Рейчел, то она долгое время пела в церковном хоре в родном Шеффилде, после чего переехала в Лидс, где ее увлёк соул в исполнении Маделин Белл, Ди Ди Уорвик, Дасти Спрингфилд, Роберты Флак и прочих прочих ярчайших представительниц соул музыки 60х 70х годов. В данное время Рейчел работает над дебютным альбомом. а также на ATA records готовится к выходу 7 дюймовый сингл, что в общем-то, логично, такая музыка должна выходить и увековечиваться на виниле.
Ну и наконец пара слов о подкасте. Первая часть - моя подборка соул и фанк музыки. Микс, записанный на волне прослушивания материала над которым продолжают работать Нил и Пит, а также любимых пластинок - старых добрых сорокопяток и LP из Америки и Европы.
