2024年5月28日、おやぢと、おやぢの親父と、親子で作業。今回は3階の床をつくるために一度根太をはずして、埃を落として、番号を書き直して、防腐剤を塗っていきます。
刷毛（はけ）がスーッと木材の表面をすべる音、余分な塗料を落とすのに防腐剤の入った缶をカンカンと叩く小気味良い音、そして親子のなんということもない会話。
音が、「生きている」証になるようです。

2024年3月27日、この日の作業は2階の床バラ板剥がし。床を剥いで吹き抜けになった部分では、1階から屋根裏の蓙（ござ）まで見上げます。
途中、「3時半でーす」の声で分かるように、午後作業。おやぢ、子を呼ぶも午前中作業で疲れてもう手伝いたくない様子。
カンカンカンと玄能（げんのう）使ってバラ板を剥がす音、剥いだバラ板の置き場所を相談する声、歩く音、いろんな物音と、合間にただ空間で時間が流れるだけの静寂。その静寂の向こうに薄らと会話が聞こえるのも、また乙なもので。

2024年3月21日、今回の改修作業はいよいよ終盤を迎えた3階の梁磨き。
前半、ひたすらグラインダーで、顔面真っ黒になりながら梁を磨き続ける音。作業音の後ろに「畑行ってきまーす」の声や、会話している声など、当然ですが自由に動きまわる「おやぢ」たちの様子が薄らと感じられて嬉しい。集中して延々と磨き続ける機械音はノーカットだとシュール過ぎて笑、ところどころ短めに編集しています。
後半は作業もひと段落し、室内の間取りや天井の設計はどうしようか？と、話し合う「おやぢ」たちの声。つくりたい空間のイメージがある、つくった空間でやりたいことがある。作業工程や、何を使うか考えるのも楽しい。そういえば、「螺旋階段」つくりたいって言ってるヤツがいるらしい笑。
「完成」ってあるのかないのか分からないけれど、いろんなことを考えながら、そこへ向かっている途中こそ、生きている感じがする。
そんなあまりの生きた音、あまりで生きている音。どんな風に皆さんに聴こえるか、楽しみです。

今回は、2024年3月17日「子どもたちの手でボルダリング壁づくり」の様子です。
録音前、午前中は子どもたちがボルダリング壁をつくろうとしている蔵の高さを計測したり、必要な材料を割り出したり。前回、雨で現地作業中止になった時、ボルダリングジムへ行って実際にボルダリングを体験してみたり、ボルダリング壁のイメージを絵で描いたりして、工程を調べて考えて、ホームセンターで実際に材料を見てみたりしたのが、ちゃんと活かされていました。
さて、この録音してる時は何やってたかと言うと、蔵の壁の前にみんな集まってました。子どもたちは走り回って散らばって、各自やりたいことやり始めちゃって、たまに戻ってきては蔵の土壁崩したりとか。後半はそろそろ帰ろうというタイミングで崩れ落ちた土壁を水で練り直してまた使えるかの実験が始まり、子どもたちもみんなで泥んこ遊びになりました。泥団子投げて喧嘩もはじめちゃって笑。
虫取り、カート遊びなど、他にも楽しいことがたくさんあって、壁づくりへの集中は難しかったかも知れませんが、「今日来るはずの友だちがいないから、あまり進めてしまうといけない」という思いもあったそう。
遠くで鳥のさえずりが聞こえる静寂もあれば、子どもたちのカオスな感じとか、ええ塩梅のスローライフ感をおすそわけいたします笑。どうぞお楽しみください。
