The Diacast: A Podcast About Diabetes
Diabetes and Drugs - the other D&D
No, not the drugs we take to manage our diabetes. The rest of the drugs. You know, NSAIDs, pain meds, opioids, steroids, antidepressants, ADHD meds... and the less-than-legal ones, too. Liz, Amy, DJ, Sanne, and Greg dive into how different medications and drugs affect diabetes and share some personal anecdotes so others can learn from their experiences. Taking drugs of any variety is extra tricky with diabetes, and while many common medications don’t significantly impact blood glucose levels, some have unexpected side-effects. Looks are deceiving, and that saying goes for your water, too! You can invest in good food and exercise programs, surround yourself with supportive friends and family, and even learn to navigate the ups and downs of life with grace... but if you don’t consider your water to be of equal importance, you will never achieve your peak level of health and performance. Though properly filtering your water is now absolutely necessary for preventing toxins, contaminants, pesticides, foreign additives and other dangerous pollutants from entering your body, filtration simply is not enough anymore (see my eStore fo...
