Hardwired: On the Frontlines of FreedomAngela Wu Howard, International Human Rights Law FellowIn this conversation, Tina Ramirez, Hardwired Global founder, and president, and Angela Wu Howard, a distinguished international human rights lawyer, discuss the dangers of government overreach and its impact on the freedom of religion for people of all faiths and none. They remember their teamwork at the United Nations rallying nations to vote down defamation of religion resolutions, which covertly protected harmful blasphemy laws, especially in Muslim-majority countries. Legal Guide PhilippinesCan employee with pending case resign? When a person does something wrong, it’s only fair that we hold them accountable for what they did, right? But what if the person wants to wash themselves of responsibility or wants to escape the consequences of what they did?
This happens in work situations when a person is under investigation for a work violation, and suddenly, they say, “Sir, resign na lang po ako ako.” What then happens, what effect will it have on the pending case? This is exactly what Angela N. is wondering about when she submitted this question on our website and she says...
2021-11-2424 minLegal Guide PhilippinesCan the employee get their final pay without getting a clearance? When a relationship ends, it's best for the parties to pick themselves up and move on, but what if there are unsettled matters and unfinished things left undone? This also happens in work situations where an employee resigns or is terminated and yet they don't go through the clearance process. Walang closure, Attorney.
So just like this question from Angela N. who asks:
"With regard to the new policy released by the DOLE about final pay, which is labor advisory 6-2020, what if the employee did not complete his or her clearance due to AWOL and...

We see their potential, yet somehow they end up failing when put to the test. This situation appears in work situations, especially with probationary employees who fail performance evaluations. So take this question from Angela R., and she asks us.
"Attorney, if a probationary employee needs more training or evaluation. Can management extend the probationary period? What needs to be done to do this?" If second chances are important to you, stay tuned as we give you ti...
