છું પ્રથમથી શ્વાસનો રોગી અને પાછું ઉપરથી,
તેં સતત, એવું સતત કૈં હાંફવાનું કામ સોપ્યું.
જળ ભરેલું પાત્ર હો તો ઠીક છે સમજ્યા, પરંતુ,
કામ સોપ્યું એય દરિયા ઢાંકવાનું કામ સોપ્યું?
વસ્ત્ર સાથે સર્વ ઈચ્છા પણ વણાવી જોઈએ હોં !

એકદમ તરસ્યા હરણ માફક, ધનુષથી છુટતા કોઈ તીર માફક,

આ નદી ને આ હલેસાં આ પવન આ નાવ વાંચી લે
કોઈ વીંટી જેમ અંગત એક ઘાવ પ્હેર્યો છે મેં
દુઃખ અને સુખ નામના બબ્બે નિરંતર ધાંધિયા વચ્ચે
અધીરો છે તને ઈશ્વર બધુંયે આપવા માટે
અધૂરી વાત અટકાવી અને ચાલ્યો ગયો
થોડા લોકો મને નમે છે, થોડાઓને હુંય નમું છું
છેવટે આ રીતથી ખુદને જ સમજાવી દઈશ
સ્હેજ અમસ્તું જળમાં જીવ્યા

ઓલ્યું હિન્દીમાં કે’ છે ધીરે ધીરે યૂં બીત જાયે કારવા
આવ્યા અમે ફરીથી એવી સવાર લઈને
બુદ્ધનું અંતિમ જે નિર્વાણ છે એ હું જ છું
વાત છે લોહી ઊડ્યું એ છાંટણાની
તને જેવું ગમે એવું જરા વાદળ પહેરીને
છોડ દીવાને પહેલાં તું મને પ્રગટાવને
તું હવાની જેમ આવી આરપાર થઈ જા
કોઈ અડક્યું તો કમાલ થઈ ગઈ
વર્ષોથી ઘર હતું આ મારું અપંગ જેવું
જો કહું તો માત્ર પટપટ થઈ રહેલી પાંપણો છીએ વધારે કંઈ નથી
