Q. 巴洛克時期的拿坡里風格是什麼？
巴洛克時期在義大利拿坡里地區的音樂風格熱情奔放，和聲飽滿且富戲劇性，深受歌劇的影響，代表作曲家有史卡拉第(Alessandro Scarlatti)、里奧(Leonardo Leo)、曼契尼(Francesco Mancini)等人，創作多首奏鳴曲或協奏曲給木笛，可以說是木笛曲目的黃金時代。
Q. 什麼是數字低音？
演奏這些作品的上聲部旋律時，常需根據慣例或通則來加上裝飾奏，輔助音樂的表達，尤其是在義大利式風格的慢板樂章，更需大量即興式的裝飾奏。低音聲部提供上聲部旋律一個重要的和聲根基，下面時常標有「數字」，代表從低音往上需彈奏出的音程，也同時指示出和絃。除了彈奏出和絃，演奏家也需即興出旋律，與上聲部旋律呼應、對唱，形成一個不存在於譜上的「新聲部」。
因此，巴洛克時期的音樂絕對不僅限於樂譜所見。譜上僅提供最基礎的「必要線索」，其他許多細節，需要演奏家的經驗與理解來完成。在許多文獻的紀錄中，我們更可以學到當時音樂家們不同的裝飾奏風格。
