He won the 200 IM at NCAA Championships back in 2010 while swimming at the University of Texas. He grew up swimming for Bob Bowman at NBAC and would ultimately return to swim alongside Michael Phelps and Chase Kalisz to train for the 2016 Rio Games, placing 8th in the 200 IM.
