Zu seinen Hauptaufgaben gehören die Hilfe im Reiseverkehr und die Sozialarbeit. Täglich kommt er in Kontakt mit den unterschiedlichsten Menschengruppen – ob Reisende, Obdachlose oder auch Flüchtlinge. Im heutigen Podcast hat Jonah mit Tonihno gesprochen. Tonihno ist 38 Jahre alt und stammt aus Peru. Als er vor 2 Jahren nach Deutschland kam, sprach er kein Deutsch. Doch während seines Freiwilligendienstes BFD ü27 im Martinshaus in Berghausen, einem Wohnheim für Menschen mit Behinderung, lernte er nicht nur sein Deutsch zu verbessern, sondern auch die Arbeit mit Menschen und Pflege. In der heutigen Folge war Pia bei Josi und Anna-Lea, die ihren Bundesfreiwilligendienst in der evangelischen Jakobusschule in Karlsruhe absolvieren. Dort haben sie vom Betreuen der Kinder, über Pausenaufsicht, bis hin zur Essensausgabe eine vielfältige Palette an Aufgaben. Beiden macht die Arbeit mit den Kindern total viel Spaß.
