טל הכירה את הווי החיים האמריקאי עוד מצעירותה כשהתגוררה שם עם משפחתה למספר שנים. למרות שלא היה לה קשר לבתי כנסת – היא רצתה לאתגר את עצמה בשליחות דווקא לבית כנסת. היא עבדה באינטנסיביות בקהילה שמונה כ-1200 משפחות וגם בבית ספר יהודי גדול ברוקוויל, בו נמצאים גם ילדי נציגים ישראליים שמתגוררים בוושינגטון.
היא מספרת על העבודה עם משלחת אזורית ועל היתרונות שבכך. היא משתפת באירועי שיא מבחינתה כמו תערוכה מיוחדת שהיא אירגנה ליום העצמאות ה-71 של מדינת ישראל וגם על עבודתה עם צעירים שרצו להגיע לישראל ולשרת בצבא. לבסוף, היא משתפת באתגרי העבודה בקורונה, ועל החלטתה להמשיך את השליחות מהארץ.
