River will be at Laverne High School this year and a member of the Laverne FFA Chapter. River recently won the OKFFA State Talent Show at the 99th Oklahoma FFA State Convention in May. He sang his cover of ‘Greatest Love Story’ and will be heading to Nationals this fall. It was an amazing time talking with River as we wish him good luck for Nationals. She was a state champion in Parliamentary Procedure in 2021 and in 2023 was an Individual State Champion in Agricultural Communications. In 2024, she received her American FFA Degree. Jonah is from Salem, Arkansas and attended Salem High School. He played football there and was obviously in FFA. He was a state finalist for State STAR in Agribusiness and Discussion Meet. He was also the first state officer from the Salem FFA Chapter in 30 years! We talked about the differences in Arkansas and Oklahoma FFA and managing Football and FFA. He has won an Ag Communications Proficiency State Championship and a Plant Science Speech division state title, just to name a few. My experience with him on this episode was amazing.
