Un tempo luogo di svago per gli abitanti del posto, per la loro importanza naturalistica e la loro bellezza le Sorgenti del Cavuto sono diventate un’oasi curata e gestita dal WWF, insieme alla Provincia dell’Aquila, e quindi trasformate in un vero e proprio giardino botanico che ospita più di trecento specie di piante, di cui una quarantina in via d’estinzione. Il giardino è provvisto di un vivaio irrigato dal fiume Sagittario e dalle sorgenti del Cavuto.
