Ajatuksia kaupungista10. Tanssiva TurkuVuoden viimeisen jakson kunniaksi Ajatuksia kaupungissa lähtee reissuun! Kohteena on nykyisin Suomen joulupääkaupunkina tunnettu Turku, mutta 200 vuotta sitten kyseessä oli Suomen suuriruhtinaskunnan tuore pääkaupunki, jonne perustettiin uusia virastoja ja jonne virtasi venäläistä sotaväkeä upseeristoineen.
Uudet instituutiot merkkihenkilöineen toivat piristysruiskeen Turun seuraelämälle ja sen siivittämänä kaupunkiin rakennettiin maan ensimmäinen seurahuone (1812), joka myöhemmin muutettiin kaupungintaloksi, kuten Helsingissäkin. Ajalle oli tyypillistä myös muiden uuden tyyppisten, sosialiseeraamiseen soveltuvien tilojen ja rakennusten esiinmarssi: teatterit, wieniläistyyppiset konditoriat, promenadi-puistot ja konserttisalit.
