He was raised in a very strict sect of the Amish religion and began to question some of the traditions that held the community together... his questioning didn't end until Jesus finally found him!

John is a Mennonite, I am a former Mennonite. I'm a Mennonite by heritage only...John joined a conservative Mennonite by choice.
It was a joy to hear that his understanding of the gospel is clear and simple and that there are Mennonite groups that do hold to much of the doctrine I do!

There are so many good things that were handed to me because I was raised a Mennonite! I can't imagine being raised in any other way! I'm not really complaining by pointing out these things... but I think they need to be pointed out. As much good as there is in the Mennonite culture and tradition, I think there are some detrimental beliefs that are keeping people from knowing God in truth!
