Von Exerzitien in Leipzig und der Theologie Benedikts XVI. inspiriert, ließ sich Triegel 2014 in der Dresdner Kathedrale taufen. Zuletzt nahm der Maler auch an der Trauerfeier für den verstorbenen emeritierten Papst in Rom teil. Wir haben mit Triegel darüber gesprochen, was ihn an Benedikt XVI. fasziniert hat und was seiner Meinung nach von diesem Papst aus Deutschland bleiben wird.
