35. Advanced Voice Biofeedback: How It Can Help Your Mental Health
At the heart of A Better Pill to Swallow is the belief that mental health in the modern era demands new modalities—approaches that go beyond insight alone and actually meet the body and brain where change happens. That’s what makes a conversation like this so important. Biofeedback therapy speaks directly to the subconscious, where most of our patterns, reactions, and choices are formed. Using subtle frequencies delivered through the hand, the technology communicates with the nervous system to help identify and release long-held blocks that traditional talk therapy often can’t reach. Deepak Chari has worked with people...

No Dictionaries at the Supreme Court 1/7
The Supreme Court doesn't use dictionaries. If they did, the abortion decision yesterday would have been very different. Instead, they ruled that an act that results in death 100% of the time is, somehow, healthcare--a word that isn't defined in Wyoming statute. But, studies convincingly show that abortion is pretty harmful and in some cases deadly to the mother as well. Speaker of the House Chip Neiman joined me to discuss the ruling and what his priorities are for the upcoming session.

2. Barely Surviving OxyContin: "This isn't me...this is a monster."
We now delve into the trials of the other co-host, as Karen’s personal trauma takes center stage. In 2016, she was in a car accident. But before she could even catch her breath from the incident, she wound up addicted to OxyContin. She leads us through her terrifying experience of how her doctors administered it without any warning and cut her off just as quickly. But by using natural alternatives, she medicinally took matters into her own hands—the very body parts that were injured.”Support the show

Purim: The Same Old Story
Megillath Esther tells the story of a close call for the Jews, when a great threat, posed by the evil minister Haman, was thwarted by the beautiful Queen Esther and her uncle Mordechai. The Purim story describes what would become a template for future cycles of anti-Jewish hatred. In this podcast Dr. David Neiman gives a dramatic account of the battles of Salamis and Thermopylae. It is at these battles that the Persian empire was defeated by the up-and-coming Greeks. This loss created a fertile environment for the events that would later occur in Megillath Esther.
