Λαμπρινή Θωμά, δημοσιογράφος: «ΔΙΚΑΖΕΤΑΙ Η ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΛΟΓΟΥ»
Η δημοσιογράφος, Λαμπρινή Θωμά, μιλά για την δίκη του Τζούλιαν Άσανζ την οποία παρακολουθεί στο Λονδίνο και στην οποία κρίνεται το δικαίωμα στην ανεξάρτητη δημοσιογραφία και η ίδια η ελευθερία του Τύπου.
Η ίδια μιλά για τα εμπόδια που συναντούν οι δημοσιογράφοι για να καλύψουν τη δίκη, αναφέρεται στην παραπληροφόρηση της Βρετανικής Δικαιοσύνης και στον αποκλεισμό, ειδικά αντισυστημικών μέσων της Αυστραλίας (χώρα καταγωγής του Άσανζ) ενώ σημειώνει ότι όσοι δεν βρίσκονται στην περιοχή του δικαστηρίου, δεν μπορούν να έχουν πρόσβαση ούτε στο λινκ για να την παρακολουθήσουν.
Παράλληλα επισημαίνει ότι σε περίπτωση έκδοσής του στις ΗΠΑ, υπάρχει ο κίνδυνος, όχι μόνο να διωχθούν όσοι συνεργάστηκαν μαζί του, αλλά θα ανοίξει η πόρτα για να διώκεται γενικά η δημοσιογραφία ενώ σημειώνει την τραγική κατάσταση της υγείας του.
Όσον αφορά την διαδικασία της δίκης, αναφέρει ότι στόχος της υπεράσπισης είναι να καταρρίψουν την πρώτη απόφαση του 2021 που ουσιαστικά άνοιγε την πόρτα έκδοσής του, κάτι που όμως δεν έγινε με το σκεπτικό της κατάσταση της υγείας του και μόνο, «φοβούμενοι» την περίπτωση αυτοκτονίας.
Τέλος μιλά για τις προσπάθειες απαγωγής ή δολοφονίας του από την CIA και τονίζει την άμεση σύνδεση της πιθανής εκλογής Τραμπ με το μέλλον της υπόθεσης ενώ σημειώνει ότι αν τελικά εκδοθεί, θα αντιμετωπίσει κατηγορίες οι οποίες επισύρουν την ποινή του θανάτου.

Ο γραμματέας του ΜέΡΑ25 και του DIEM25, Γιάνης Βαρουφάκης, μιλά για την δίκη του Τζούλιαν Άσανζ, ο οποίος ήταν από τους ιδρυτές του DIEM25, παίρνοντας σαφή θέση και από την πρώτη στιγμή την εκστρατεία για την απελευθέρωσή του.
Ο κ. Βαρουφάκης αναφέρεται στην κατάσταση της υγείας του που έχει επιδεινωθεί σε τραγικό βαθμό όντας χρόνια σε πλήρη απομόνωση, κλειδωμένος σε ένα μικρό κελί, χωρίς δυνατότητα επικοινωνίας ή έξοδο από το κτίριο, έχοντας μόλις με ένα ραδιόφωνο το οποίο ελέγχεται και όριο τρία βιβλία.
Όπως επισημαίνει, πρόκειται για έναν κρατούμενο που δεν έχει δικαστεί ποτέ, τονίζοντας ότι δεν είναι αισιόδοξος για το αποτέλεσμα της δίκης, αφού πρόκειται για δεύτερη έφεση και το αποτέλεσμα είναι λίγο-πολύ προδιαγεγραμμένο και η μοναδική ελπίδα είναι να σταματήσει η δίωξη.
Παράλληλα αναφέρει ότι δεν υπάρχει πρακτικά Δημοκρατία στην Ευρώπη, τονίζοντας ότι επιβάλλονται ανισότητες, οικονομικές και κοινωνικές, ενώ υπογραμμίζει ότι «σήμερα έρχονται για τον Τζούλιαν, αύριο θα έρθουν για σένα».
