নিজের কাছে ফেরা
কতকাল ভালোবাসা হয় না নিজেকে !
অথচ যে মানুষটা উধাও হলো একলা রেখে, তার জন্য বুকের ভেতর কান্না জমে,
রাত্রি জানে ঘুম জমে না চোখের পাতায়, যন্ত্রণাতে!
কই, এই আমি তো আমায় ছেড়ে যাই নি কোথাও! দুঃখ দিই নি !
ওই যে মানুষ দুঃখ দিল, ভাসিয়ে দিল অথৈ জলে। যার জন্য হৃদয় জানল,
বিষাদ ছাড়া চোখের কোনো ভাষা হয় না ।
কান্না ছাড়া এই জনমে ভালোবাসা হয় না।
তার জন্য তবু কেন বুক ভাঙল ? গভীর রাতে গহিন কোথাও কুহক ডাকল!
এবার খানিক সময় পেলে গুছিয়ে নেব। কান্না এবং হাসিটুকু নিজের
থাকবে। নিজের জন্য মেঘ থাকবে, রোদ থাকবে। উদাস দুপুর, পদ্মপুকুর
নিমগ্নতায় চুপ থাকবে । ইচ্ছেমতো এই আমাকেই ভালোবাসব।
ভালো বাসতে বাসতে অন্য মানুষ, আজ কতকাল ভালোবাসা হয় না
নিজেকে!
আর কতকাল, দুঃখ এবং দহন পুষব ভালোবাসতে ?
এবার আমি ভালোবাসব এই আমাকে ।
আর কতকাল, অনুভূতির মৃত্যু হবে, বুকের কোনার হিমঘরেতে সারি সারি
কফিন থাকবে!
এবার তবে অন্ধকারে আলো জ্বলুক, বলুক হৃদয়—মেঘলা দুচোখ আলোয়

আমি চাইতাম প্রতিদিন অন্তত দশ মিনিটের জন্য আমাদের দেখা হোক,
মাঠ পেরিয়ে হাত ধরাধরি করে অন্তত একবার রেললাইন পার হতে হবে,বৃষ্টিতে
ভিজতে হবে,রাত জেগে ফোনে কথা বলতে হবে।
তুমি চেয়েছিলে আমাদের একটা সংসার হোক,
ছোট্ট রান্নাঘর, শোবার ঘরে দক্ষিনের জানালা, বিকেল বেলায় জানালায় চোখ
এলিয়ে আড়াইশো গ্রাম হলুদ,এক কেজি পেয়াঁজ,চারটে ডিমের ফর্দ লেখা ।
তোমার চাওয়া দেখে আমিও বিপ্লবী হয়ে গেলাম,
কিছু একটা করতে হবে বলে রেসের ঘোড়ার মতো ছুটতে লাগলাম।
ছুটতে ছুটতে আমি এখন অনেক দূরে,
আমার আশেপাশে তোমাকে খুঁজে পাচ্ছিনা কোথাও
তুমিও এখন দিব্যি অন্য কারো সংসার সাজাচ্ছো,নিঃশ্বাস ফেলার জো নেই।
মাঝে মাঝে তোমার শহরে দমকা হাওয়ার সাথে বৃষ্টি আসে,
আমার ঘরের ইলেকট্রিসিটিও চলে যায় তখন,
চোখে জল না আসলেও দুজনেরই কান্না পায়,বুক ভাঙে,
আমরা টের পাই,ছোট্ট একটা সংসার বুকের ভেতরেও সাজানো থাকে।

ছেড়ে চলে যাচ্ছো? যাও।
ছেড়ে চলে যেতে নির্দিষ্ট কোনো কারনের দরকার হয় না,জানি। কিন্তু একসাথে
দুজনেরই যেদিন ঘর বাধার অসুখ হয়েছিলো? সে অসুখটা সারিয়ে দিয়ে যাও।
ছেড়ে যাচ্ছো যাও, আটকানোর আমি কে?
কিন্তু যেদিন দিব্যি দিয়েছিলে, আমাকে ছেড়ে চলে যাওয়ার আগে যেনো তোমার
মৃত্যু হয়?
না না,তোমার মৃত্যু হোক আমি চাইছিনা,তুমি শুধু যাওয়ার আগে ওই দিব্যিটা
ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যাও।
চলে যাচ্ছো যাও,যেতে বারণ করবোনা,করলেও তুমি শুনবে কেনো?
শুধু আমাকে তোমার সাথে কাটানো সব সকাল দুপুর রাতের স্মৃতি ভুলিয়ে দিয়ে
যাও।
ছেড়ে চলে যাও,
যাওয়ার আগে আমার দেয়া সবকটা চিঠি,আমার জেগে থাকা রাত, ধার করা
ঘুম, একুশটা চুমু ফিরিয়ে দিয়ে যাও ।
ছেড়ে চলে যাবে? যাও ।
তোমাকে কখনো ঘৃণা না করেই বাঁচতে পারবো এমন কোনো ছোট্ট একটা কারণ
বলে যাও।
ছেড়ে তুমি চলে যেতেই পারো ;
বুকের ভেতর শব্দ হলে হোক,
চোখের শ্রাবণ মাসে কার কী আসে যায়;
তুমি শুধু তোমার বলা সত্যি কথার মতো মিথ্যেগুলোকে অবিশ্বাস করা শিখিয়ে
দিয়ে যাও।
ছেড়ে চলে যাবে,যাও;
পায়ের শব্দে চাপা পড়ে যাক অযুত-নিযুত দীর্ঘশ্বাস,
তুমি শুধু আমার নেওয়া প্রতিটি দীর্ঘশ্বাসে তোমাকে আগলে রাখার অভিশাপ
দিয়ে যাও।

তুমি যখন ছেড়ে চলে যাচ্ছিলে,আমার বারবার মনে হচ্ছিলো তোমাকে ভুলে যাওয়ার চাইতে সহজ কিছু আর এই পৃথিবীতে নেই,
অথচ ঘরে ফেরার পর দেখলাম আমার পুরো পৃথিবীটাকেই তুমি সাথে করে নিয়ে গেছো;
তুমি ছেড়ে চলে যাওয়ার পর আমার ছাদের ছোট্টো বাগানটায় কখনো নয়নতারা ফোটেনি,
দক্ষিনের জানালা দিয়ে রোদ ঢোকেনি নিয়মিত অভ্যাসে;
তুমি ছেড়ে যাওয়ার পর অভ্যস্ত আদরের অভাবে আমার কখনো জ্বর ওঠেনি,
তারাহুরো করে চায়ের কাপে চুমুক দিতে গিয়ে ঠোঁট পুড়ে যায়নি,
অথচ আমি কী ভীষণভাবে চাইতাম আমার কোনো তীব্র অসুখ হোক;
তুমি ছেড়ে চলে যাওয়ার পর পাঁচ বছরের ছোট্ট মেয়েটা আমার কাছে কখনো বেলী ফুলের মালা বিক্রি করতে আসেনি,
রোদে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতাম অথচ আমার আর কখনো মাথাব্যথা হয়নি,
পার্কে কিছুক্ষন বসার জন্য আড়াল খুঁজতে হয়নি।
তুমি ছেড়ে চলে গিয়েছিলে ঠিকই,অথচ তোমার অভাব আমাকে কখনো একা থাকতে দেয়নি।

যদি তুমি ফিরে না আসো

তুমি আমাকে ভুলে যাবে, আমি ভাবতেই পারি না
আমাকে মন থেকে মুছে ফেলে
তুমি
আছো এই সংসারে, হাঁটছো বারান্দায়, মুখ দেখছো
আয়নায়, আঙুলে জড়াচ্ছো চুল, দেখছো
তোমার সিঁথি দিয়ে বেরিয়ে গেছে অন্তুহীন উদ্যানের পথ, দেখছো
তোমার হাতের তালুতে ঝলমল করছে রূপালি শহর,
আমাকে মন থেকে মুছে ফেলে
তুমি অস্তিত্বের ভূভাগে ফোটাচ্ছো ফুল
আমি ভাবতেই পারি না।
যখনই ভাবি, হঠাৎ কোনো একদিন তুমি
আমাকে ভুলে যেতে পারো,
যেমন ভুলে গেছো অনেকদিন আগে পড়া
কোনো উপন্যাস, তখন ভয়
কালো কামিজ প’রে হাজির হয় আমার সামনে,
পায়চারি করে ঘন ঘন মগজের মেঝেতে,
তখন
একটা বুনো ঘোড়া খুরের আঘাতে ক্ষতবিক্ষত করে আমাকে,
আর আমার আর্তনাদ ঘুরপাক খেতে খেতে
অবসন্ন হয়ে নিশ্চুপ এক সময়, যেমন
ভ্রষ্ট পথিকের চিৎকার হারিয়ে যায় বিশাল মরুভূমিতে।
বিদায় বেলায় সাজটাজ আমি মানি না
আমি চাই ফিরে এসো তুমি
স্মৃতি বিস্মৃতির প্রান্তর পেরিয়ে
শাড়ীর ঢেউ তুলে,সব অশ্লীল চিৎকার
সব বর্বর বচসা স্তব্দ করে
ফিরে এসো তুমি, ফিরে এসো
স্বপ্নের মতো চিলেকোঠায়
মিশে যাও স্পন্দনে আমার।

বিশ্বাস- হুমায়ুন আজাদ
জানো, তুমি, সফল ও মহৎ হওয়ার জন্যে চমৎকার ভণ্ড হতে হয়?
বলতে হয়, এই অন্ধকার কেটে যাবে,
চাঁদ উঠবে, পুব দিগন্তে জুড়ে ঘটবে বিরাট ব্যাপক
সূর্যোদয়। বলতে হয়, প্রেমেই মানুষ বাঁচে,
বলতে হয়, অমৃতই সত্য বিষ সত্য নয়।
জানো, তুমি, মহৎ ও সফল হওয়ার জন্যে ভীষণ বিশ্বাসী হ'তে হয়?
বিশ্বাস রাখতে হয় সব কিছুতেই।
বলতে হয়, আমি বিশ্বাসী, আমি বিশ্বাস করি সভ্যতায়,
বলতে হয়, মানুষের উপর বিশ্বাস হারানো পাপ।
তাই তো এখন সবাই খুব বিশ্বাস করে,
চারদিকে এখন ছড়াছড়ি বিভিন্ন শ্রেণীর বিশ্বাসীর।
একদল বিশ্বাস পোষে ধর্মতন্ত্রে,
চিৎকার মিছিল ক'রে আরেক দল বিশ্বাস জ্ঞাপন করে প্রভুতন্ত্রে।
পুঁজিবাদে বিশ্বাসীরা ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে
প্রথম, দ্বিতীয়, তৃতীয়, ও সম্ভাব্য চতুর্থ বিশ্ব ভ'রে।
এখন গণতন্ত্রে বিশ্বাস করে এমনকি একনায়কেরা,
কী সুন্দর স্তব করে তারা জনতার।
আমার শহরের প্রতিটি মস্তান এখন বিশ্বাস করে সমাজতন্ত্রে,
বিশ্বাস ছাড়া সাফাল্য ও মহত্ত্বের কোন পথ নেই।
আজি জানি সবচেয়ে বিশ্বাসযোগ্য তোমার ওই চোখ
আমি জানি সবচেয়ে বিশ্বাসযোগ্য তোমার ওই ওষ্ঠ
সবচেয়ে নির্ভরযোগ্য তোমার বিস্তীর্ণ দেহতন্ত্র।
তবুও আমি যে কিছুতেই বিশ্বাস রাখতে পারি না।
অবিরাম ভূমিকম্পে ধ'সে পড়ে বিশ্বাসের সমস্ত স্তম্ভ।
এমন কি মিলনের পর আমাকে জড়িয়ে ধ'রে
অন্যমনষ্কভাবে যখন তুমি দূর নক্ষত্রের দিকে চেয়ে থাকো
তখন যে আমি তোমাতেও বিশ্বাস রাখতে পারি না।

It is said, nectar is the truth, poison is not. Do you know, to be great and successful, one must be fiercely confident?
You have to believe in everything.
It is said, I am confident, I believe in civilization,
It is said, losing faith in humanity is a sin. So, now everyone believes too much,
Various classes of believers are spreading everywhere. One group nurtures faith in democracy,
Shouting slogans, another group announces faith in autocracy. Believers in capitalism are spreading
in the first, second, third, and potential fourth world. Even in democracy, even solitary leaders believe,
How beautifully they praise the people. Every street, tough, in my city now believes in socialism,
Without belief, there is no path to success and significance. Today I know your eyes are the most trustworthy,
I know your lips are the most trustworthy,
Your extensive physique is the most reliable. Still, I can't believe in anything.

মেঘ থমথম বৃষ্টির জল,মাথাব্যথা জ্বর,প্যারাসিটামল;
সব ছেড়ে যায়,তুমিও যাবে। জানতাম।
তবুও যখন সন্ধ্যে হতো,বাড়ি ফিরতে,অন্ধকারে;
বুকের ভেতর বারুদ নিয়ে তোমার পাশেই থাকতাম।
সত্যি সত্যি চলেই গেলে,
ভালোবাসা কে ভাড়া দেয় দুশো টাকার কানের দুলে;
আমিও চাইলে ভুলে যেতে পারতাম।
তবুও তখন সন্ধ্যে হতো,রাস্তাটাও অন্ধকারে;
তুমি নেই তো কী হয়েছে,তোমার দেওয়া দুঃখ আছে;
তোমার ফিরে আসার সেই রাস্তায় ঠাই দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতাম।
শেষ সিগারেট,লাইটার আর তোমার দেওয়া দুঃখটুকু বুক পকেটে রাখতাম।

তোমার মন খারাপ হলে আমার ভালোলাগে;
একটা আস্ত চকলেটের দোকান তোমার কোলে খুব মানাতো,আমার টাকাপয়সা কম তাই ফুল কিনে নিয়ে যাই,হাঁটু গেড়ে বসি,ভালোবাসি বলি,খুব তাড়াতাড়ি চাকরী পাওয়ার আশ্বাস দিই।
তোমার মন খারাপ হলে সূর্যাস্ত দেরীতে হয়,সিগারেট ছুঁই না,তোমাকে ছুঁয়ে বসে থাকি। তোমার বিড়াল তুলতুলি আমার দিকে নিষ্ঠুর সতীনের মতো তাকিয়ে থাকে।
তোমার মনখারাপ হলে জীবনানন্দের প্রেতাত্মা আরেকটা চান্স নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করে,
উত্তম কুমারের আলৌকিক নাম্বার থেকে রোমান্টিক মেসেজ আসে।
তুমি পাত্তা দাও না,আমার হাত ধরে বসে একটা সমুদ্রসৈকতের কথা ভাবতে থাকো,যেখানটায় বছরে একবার অন্তত একজোড়া সুখী দম্পতি রহস্যজনকভাবে হারিয়ে যায়।

সাবধান হতে হবে,
বারবার সেইসব পরিচিত দুঃখের গান শুনে মানুষের কাছ থেকে আলাদা হওয়া যাবে না;
হেসে উড়িয়ে দিতে হবে সব ছুঁড়ে দেয়া বিদ্রুপ-
ইচ্ছের বিরুদ্ধে গিলতে হবে ভাত,তরকারি আর তুচ্ছতাচ্ছিল্য-
যেনো আমি কোনো মাথা উচিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা ফাঁকা গোলপোস্ট,যতো পারো লাথি দাও-
যেনো আমি কোনো হারিয়ে যাওয়া মানিব্যাগের গোপন চিরকুট,ভাঙতি পাঁচ টাকা।
সাবধানে এড়িয়ে যেতে হবে প্রেমিকার সাথে দেবতা পাহাড়ে শীত ছোঁয়ার মৃদু প্রতিজ্ঞা-
ভুলে যেতে হবে প্রিয় সিগারেটের ব্র্যান্ড,বন্ধুদের অভিজাত আড্ডার স্মৃতি।
সাবধানে হাসতে হবে,শব্দ করা যাবে না-
যদিও হাসি খুব অপ্রাসঙ্গিক-
সাবধানে মনে মনে কাঁদতে হবে,কান্নারা শুধু সিনেমায় সুন্দর।
সাবধানে আরো কিছুদিন বেঁচে থেকে আরো সাবধানে মরে যেতে হবে চুপচাপ-
হাসপাতাল,আত্মীয়,শেষ স্নানের ঝক্কি এড়িয়ে।

মৃত্যুর মতো জাপটে ধরে ভীষণ বেঁচে থাকতে বোলো,
কথা দিচ্ছি,তোমার লকারে জমা রেখে দেবো যমের টিকিট,
তোমার চোখের খুব কাছে এসে আমার চোখের একফোঁটা জল খুব আড়ালে এই প্রণয়ের সাক্ষী হবে।
