The Interconnectedness of All Things 💫
The web of information and energy that connects us all through all realms is so important for us to understand ... especially as we awaken, and wish to co-create a world where we and our descendants enjoy peace and love as the basis. ❤️This episode weaves together the work of Waldorf founder Rudolf Steiner*, neuroscientist and author Jill Bolte Taylor**, with quantum physics and the exploration of spirituality to explore the flow of life-force that remains unseen by our five senses and our intellect. This is a beautiful invitation to see from a larger, life-changing perspective.

Chocolate Power
According to the US Census Bureau, 80% of Americans live in urban environments. One of the interesting aspects of that statistic is that the food we all need to survive is grown mostly in rural America. In other words, 80% of us are dependent on 20% of the population for survival. Given that our very survival depends on it, you’d think we’d make the infrastructure of rural America a priority. But we don’t. Government and private companies alike create infrastructure that is designed around how we live in cities. Power Take cell service and inter...

Don't Point That Horror At Me
Spring Break by Barbara Steiner
Becky and Jill chat about Barbara Steiner's 'Spring Break' (1996). Five pals head to the beach and end up staying in a haunted house. But is it really a ghost? How many Big Macs is too many Big Macs? What’s so fascinating out at sea that people keep staring at it? We find out! FYI it gets a bit sweary so even though Point Horror books are suitable for younger readers, our podcast might not be. Cameras of the Year, 2016
Join us as we talk with two of our most regular and insightful guests about new cameras that were announced in 2016. We hesitate to use the phrase “best” cameras of the year because there a few cameras that we’re not all that crazy about, and a few we can only judge based on their announced specs, but there is plenty to talk about. Shawn Steiner and Levi Tenenbaum test and review cameras for B&H and the Explora blog, and bring to this conversation not only extensive product knowledge, but a practical sense of which camera is right for specif...

Why is 4K Video in a Point-and-Shoot Camera?
Digital video is a huge a part of “photography” now. There are almost no digital cameras introduced without some kind of video capability and, in some cases, “still” cameras are the go-to choice for professional videographers. Recently, we have seen 4K video surpass 1080 as the standard, and many camera lines, from DSLR to smartphone, are now providing 4K capability, but is this level of quality really warranted or even effective in a point-and-shoot camera? Today’s episode of the podcast will take on this question and, in so doing, we will discuss the particulars of 4K, including what camera models offer this...

The Mirrorless Divide—Fuji is for Artists, Sony is for Pros?
With deference to Linda Richman, today’s podcast offers its version of the 'Coffee Talk' skit from Saturday Night Live—Fuji is for Artists/Sony is for Pros… discuss! We realize, of course, that any camera—used well—can be for professionals and for artists and that artists can be pros and vice versa; we’re not so naïve as to think otherwise. Given the parameters of the topic, however, we take on this idea in a conversation that touches upon the marketing for these high-end mirrorless cameras, who is actually using them, and most important, their feature sets, lenses, and s...

Diese Woche haben wir alle Warnungen ignoriert und uns mit Battlefield Earth (Amazon-Link*) einen der schlimmsten Filme aller Zeiten angetan.
