The host of The Full...2021-08-0511 minJazz Standards play by Ocarina w/ GuitarBolivia 爵士陶笛与吉他演奏动感十足的现代爵士经典说实话，我对于 Cedar Walton 这位爵士钢琴手并没有太多的认识，听过的专辑也大多是他在 Arthur Blakey 的 The Jazz Messengers 里当 sideman 时的录音。不过，Cedar Walton 所写的这首曲子 Bolivia 倒是深得我心，第一次听到便爱上了它。这首曲子成功的融合各种风格节奏，有固定低音(basso ostinato)，也有一小段的 Bossa Nova，当然也有 Swing 的节奏。『固定低音』简单来说，就是固定重复的 bass line pattern 不断循环，这种伴奏方式常见于现代摇滚乐或流行音乐，但是在传统爵士中是比较少见的。此外，在和声上，曲子的Ａ段持续只有一个 G7 和弦，因为是属七和弦这种不稳定的声响，因此即兴演奏者可以在上面自由的使用各种不同的技巧来演奏，就算声响极度的不和谐也会觉得相对合理。至于Ｂ段就是标准的 Bebop 和弦进行了，和弦与调性都随着音乐飞快的转换。节奏风格的转变与和声上的明显对比，让这首歌无论在演奏或聆听时都充满了乐趣。Guitarina Duo (Guitar+Ocarina) 庄智渊 Eric Chuang - 陶笛 & 吉他作曲者 Cedar Walton2021-08-0103 minJazz Standards play by Ocarina w/ GuitarRound Midnight 陶笛与吉他合奏最适合深夜聆听的爵士经典曲除了 Bill Evans 之外，Thelonious Monk 也是对我影响不小的一位爵士钢琴大师。Monk 的演奏与创作风格与 Bill Evans 迥然不同，音乐上充满了各种不谐和与刺激的声响，给人一种不按牌理出牌的惊奇感受。他的创作 ‘Round Midnight 是一首非常受到欢迎的慢板爵士标准曲。虽然是一首抒情的爵士歌曲，但是它的和弦进行与旋律一样带有浓厚的 Monk 个人色彩，显得非常特立独行。在我的演奏视频当中，吉他的即兴段落与之后回到主旋律的桥段，我选择了使用 Double-time Feel 的技巧来让整首慢歌多一点变化。Double-time Feel 简单来说就是将歌曲的速度提升一倍，同时也将每个和弦持续的长度扩张一倍，造成一种感觉上歌曲快了一倍，但是段落长度其实跟原本的段落是一模一样的效果。这种技巧常被使用在演奏慢板的爵士歌曲上，可以让慢歌也变得轻快起来。Guitarina Duo (Guitar+Ocarina) 庄智渊 Eric Chuang - 陶笛 & 吉他作曲者 Thelonious Monk2021-08-0105 minJazz Standards play by Ocarina w/ GuitarWaltz for Debby 陶笛诠释爵士钢琴大师“比尔·艾文斯“最美的作品前阵子演奏了不少爵士管乐大师的作品，现在来换换口味，找一些爵士钢琴大师的创作来玩玩看。说到爵士钢琴大师，第一位想到的就是 Bill Evans。这位大师奠定了现代爵士钢琴的走向，将许多近代古典音乐印象派的和声观念应用到爵士乐演奏上，影响了后来无数的爵士乐手。Evans 的钢琴演奏并不像 Art Tatum 或 Oscar Peterson 那般绚烂夺目，但他内省式的演奏风格与丰富的和声技巧，赋予了钢琴另一种更深层的面貌。我还记得我大学时所买的第一张 Bill Evans 专辑是 Waltz for Debby。这是一张非常有名的现场演奏专辑，里面的乐手组合是最经典的 Bass 手 Scott LaFaro 与鼓手 Paul Motian 三重奏组合。当时就爱上了里面的专辑同名歌曲 Waltz for Debby。这首歌曲是 Bill Evans 为他的侄女 Debby Evans 所创作的。歌曲本身并不是很复杂，和弦进行也大多是常见的五度圈 II-V-I 进行，然而 Bill Evans 将和声做了巧妙的转位编排，让和声衔接变得更为顺畅。除此之外，更将两个 A段相同的旋律与合声，做了不一样的转位编排，所以听起来更为有趣。这些做法，都是传统的爵士编曲较少听到的，也赋予歌曲另一种古典音乐的美感。值得一提的是，这首歌虽名为 Waltz，但是除了开头的主旋律是真的 3/4拍 华尔滋之外，一旦进入到即兴演奏的段落时，就会转变成一般的 4/4拍 Swing 节奏，相当有趣。虽然我也听过有从头到尾都维持 3/4 的演奏版本，但是至少 Bill Evans 本人都是这样演奏的。有兴趣的朋友可以稍微注意一下拍子转换的那一刹那，听起来其实非常流畅喔！Guitarina Duo (Guitar+Ocarina) 庄智渊 Eric Chuang -
