Verbraucherrechte sind nicht einfach da, sie müssen erkämpft werden. Wie das geht, schauen wir uns heute am Beispiel Wohnungsvermittlung ein. 1970 gab es massive Missstände auf dem Wohnungsmarkt in Stuttgart und ganz Baden-Württemberg. Verzweifelte Wohnungssuchende wurden im großen Stil von unseriösen Wohnungsvermittlungsbüros abgezockt, die Vorabgebühren ohne dafür später irgendeine Gegenleistung zu bringen. Die Verbraucherzentrale Baden-Württemberg sorgte dafür, dass diese Abzocke ein Ende hatte.

Born in 1981, Eva Rincke grew up in Leonberg near Stuttgart, Germany. She studied history and philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin. From 2007-2010 she worked at Buchenwald Memorial, doing research for an exhibition about Forced Labor during World War II. She is a freelance historian for several historical institutions in Germany and Austria and wrote articles for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos...2022-05-0358 min
