Volume 165: Little Jazz on Horn Part 2
Time to pull out the 14th of the 24 records from the six box set from the Franklin Mint. And I’ve been having so much fun listening to this one. In fact, I’m going to play a few more tunes than my normal six that I like to keep these episodes to because, quite frankly, there was so much good music on this disc I didn’t know where to stop. The featured trumpet player you’ll be hearing was known as the bridge between Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie. But he had a style al...

Astros 162
Introducing Astros 162
As a kid I read a book titled "Frank: The First Year". It was a day by day diary of Frank Robinson's first year as manager of the Cleveland Indians and I was fascinated. This past Christmas I gave that same book to my son, a huge Astros fan, for Christmas and an idea was born. I could do the same thing for the Astros, but use modern technology in doing so. The result is the podcast. Travel along with me as I chronicle the 2023 Houston Astros.

I’m going to nickname this episode Frank’s earworms because these were the songs that stuck in my head sometimes for weeks after recording a show. They may not be the most popular of the songs I’ve played or even among my favorites all the time, but they had a catchy melody or rhythm that I couldn’t get out of my head. So get ready for an episode with a lot more music and a lot less of me talking with Volume 100: Frank’s Favorites. Credits and copyrights Girl From Ipanema - Nat King C...
