Dan McLaughlin - Baseball and Politics, MLB Cancels Atlanta
Dan McLaughlin - Baseball and Politics, MLB Cancels Atlanta - Dan McLaughlin returns to the Break It Down Show. Dan is a Senior Writer for the National Review. While we often have Dan on to discuss current events, today, we're focusing on the start of the MLB season. Of course, MLB has inserted itself into politics and canceled Atlanta as this year's All-Star game host. This strikes Pete A Turner and Dan as odd since Rob Manfred seems to want to punish Georgia residents for creating greater integrity in the election system...which, is their right. BUT, it's still baseball sea...

Unpacking the Hidden History of Summerhill
Sitting just below the interchange between the Downtown Connector and Interstate 20, the neighborhood of Summerhill holds a storied past. Over the decades, the area faced segregation, being gutted by expressways and housing two major stadiums at once. Business boomed on Georgia Avenue in the '40s and '50s, but by the 1970s the area saw more concentrated poverty and riots. When the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996, Summerhill housed the opening ceremonies at Centennial Olympic Stadium, which would eventually become Turner Field and then later the Georgia State Stadium.
