The TV YearbookSliders: Gimli Son of Gloin Has Been KidnappedSliders was a show that "the suits" wanted to bury but the fans kept it alive. Originally on FOX and canceled multiple times, the show eventually ended up on the Syfy Channel where it was unceremonsionuly laid to rest.
