Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Good Friday | Graeme Rattray | Southeast Site In the darkest hour of Jesus’ life, something unexpected shines through—not weakness, but strength. This message invites you to the foot of the cross, where mockery and true worship stand side by side. Through Jesus’ suffering, the curtain separating humanity from God is torn, and the way is opened for you to walk a new road. Will you keep going down the same path—or will you surrender and follow the one who made a way for your freedom? This isn’t just a story of sacrifice. It’s an invitation to live differently. 2025-04-1817 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Sharing Your Faith | Various Scriptures | Graeme Rattray Every believer is called to step forward in sharing their faith because Jesus’ mission to save the world includes us. When we are empowered by the Spirit and strengthened through prayer, we can boldly share the gospel that saves. With wisdom and grace, we must communicate His truth in a way that reaches people where they are, from their worldview. We need the Spirit’s help to guide us in discovering the most fitting context for sharing our faith. 2025-04-0638 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Kingdom Realities | John 15:18-16:15 | Graeme Rattray In this passage, we will examine some Kingdom realities that are part of the package as we recognize and submit to King Jesus. Jesus prepares His disciples for the challenges they will face from the world due to their allegiance to Him. He contrasts the world's hatred with the love and joy found in Christ, reminding them of the Holy Spirit's coming support and guidance. 2025-02-1642 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Worship Levels Us Out | Luke 2:8-20 | Graeme Rattray Worship of Jesus takes our eyes off of ourselves. It shapes how we interact with one another. There is level ground when it comes to giving our worship to Jesus. In worship, no matter what status we hold, we can experience commonality and community. When we experience the majesty and holiness of God like the shepherds did, we are compelled to want to share that joy with others around us. O come let us adore Him! 2024-12-1534 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Where is Your Faith? | John 12:37-50 | Graeme Rattray Sometimes, in our world, something so enormously important happens that will alter the lives we live. Even though the signs are all there, people are oblivious to it and go on with their lives. In our passage today, John shows us that even though Jesus had been performing many signs and showing the people that life in relation to God was changing, the people resisted Him. Jesus warns them, and all people, that our resistance to His good news will be the very thing that judges us in the end. 2024-11-2441 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Community | Romans 12:4-8 | Graeme Rattray One of the traps of our modern society is the idea that we can do this life on our own. This idea, however, goes against the most basic truth about what it means to be human. The truth is we are made to be in relationship with God and we are made to be a valuable part of His family, the church. Our passage today encourages us to see that each one of us, though we are many and diverse, form one community and each one of us belongs to all the others. 2024-09-1548 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Thriving in our Witness of Jesus | Acts 8:4-8, 26-40 | Graeme Rattray All of us who follow Jesus have had a sense that we are to share the good news of Jesus with the world. We want to thrive in this area but are often paralyzed by feeling unequipped for the task. We might think witnessing is for the missionaries and paid staff of the church. In today’s passage, we see through the life of Philip that God uses ordinary people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes, and we will see some powerful truths about how to thrive in our witness of Jesus. 2024-07-2136 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)A Life on Fire for the Lord | Judges 4:4-10 | Graeme Rattray The people of God are to be like a canvas that displays the beauty of God’s mercy and grace. Throughout the history of the people of God though, we see that they continually turn to idolatry. The consequences of their sin leave them oppressed and feeling what it is like to be a people without God. Then God raises up a prophetess judge, a woman on fire for the Lord who calls them to turn their eyes to the Lord and follow Him. Like Israel, we need people like Deborah to fit us for battle and turn our ey...2024-07-0728 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Southeast | Look to the Son | John 6:25-71 | Graeme Rattray The crowds have caught up to Jesus and His disciples. They have participated in a great miracle and they are clamouring for more. More of what though? They seek Jesus for temporary benefits and in this passage again, Jesus turns them towards seeking the Bread that will satisfy them eternally. Often we can become obsessed with seeing the miraculous or we long for miracles for our own benefit. In our passage today, we will see that Jesus uses signs and wonders to encourage us toward a proper response and that is faith. 2024-04-1434 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Jesus and Nicodemus | John 3:1-21 | Graeme Rattray The teacher of Israel, Nicodemus, comes to Jesus under the cover of night to start a dialogue. Nicodemus has been moved by the signs that Jesus has already done and his curiosity brings him into a conversation that will forever change his beliefs and the course of his life. Nicodemus now has to grapple with the choice to believe or not. As we enter into this conversation, we too are invited to repent from walking in the darkness and step into the light of the Truth that is Jesus. 2024-03-1040 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Southeast | Relationships | Genesis 1:26-28, 31 | Graeme Rattray Relationships are the best and hardest parts of our lives. How do we pursue thriving in this area? The Bible teaches that every person is made in the image of God, every person has been broken by sin, and every person is a potential recipient of Jesus’ forgiveness, redemption and transformation. If this is true, then how should we see and relate to others? How might this change how we see ourselves, our family, our friends, our coworkers, our classmates, our neighbors, or even our enemies? 2024-02-0435 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)But What Should I Wear? | Colossians 3:12-4:1 | Graeme Rattray As apprentices of Jesus, there are things that we have put off or rid ourselves of. Things that didn’t fit from the old man. Now as we continue on in our passage today, Paul is saying there are things that we ought to put on as followers of Jesus. Now as the new man, we have a new uniform and we are to wear it in our daily lives. 2023-12-1038 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Southeast | Maturity is the Goal | Colossians 1:24-2:5 | Graeme Rattray This week's Scripture is Colossians 1:24-2:5. Jesus is at work in our world. Jesus is at work in us and through us to bring us to maturity. In this passage Paul is giving the Colossians a picture of how much Jesus cares for each of them and he is modeling how Jesus invites us into the work he is doing. The struggle that Paul faces is for the Body of Christ so that we will all be conformed to the image of Christ. Jesus invites us into this work. 2023-11-1934 minFollowing Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)Following Together (Central Baptist Edmonton)A Landscape of Gratitude | Psalm 136 | Graeme Rattray Sermon from Sunday, October 8th. More at followingtogether.com/messages. As we read the Scripture, especially in the Psalms, we see in "ancient times" the people of God (Israel) had patterns of thankfulness that were a regular part of the assembly and everyday life. These patterns aided the congregation to focus their minds on God, specifically bringing to mind attributes and actions of God. When spoken to one another, they created a landscape where all could draw from to respond to God in appropriate gratitude. Zapraszam również na Facebooka, Twittera i Instagrama, każdy lajk i udostępnienie pomoże w szerszym dotarciu do słuchaczy, a to jest teraz moim głównym celem :)2022-05-1818 minTasracing on SENTrackTasracing on SENTrackTasracing Talk (3/9/2021)Join Cam Luke and Campbell Brown for the first episode of Tasracing Talk featuring our experts Peter Staples, Jamie Cockshutt and Brennan Ryan. Our feature guests this week include Graeme McCulloch, Codi Jordan and Todd Rattray.
