Теперь знаменитый тромбонист Michael Dease записал интерпретации этого художника, назвав альбом Other Shoe: The Music of Gregg Hill. Впечатляют музыканты, разнообразность стилей и инструментов.
Например лидер на трех треках берет в руки баритон саксофон, а на тромбоне играет его ученик. На всех треках присутствует кларнет на котором играет женщина, а так же женщины на басу и барабанах. Игра сразу двух басистов на треке Hello, Blues, также добавляет интересности.
Титульная композиция растянулась на 15 минут и напоминает эксперименты Miles Davis по сплетению разных стилей. Это единственная вещь на альбоме, где присутствует орган и ее прекрасная аранжировка заслуживает отдельного внимания.
Виртуозная игра музыкантов, резкая смена ритмов, великолепные соло, новизна пьес и прекрасные аранжировки, ставят эту запись в категорию пост-боп. Я даю наивысшую оценку этому альбому, а титульный трек добавлю в плэйлист как лучший.
