シリウスが輝く夜#20春秋戦国英雄列伝 王が恐れた風雲児・孟嘗君 その1今回から中国の春秋戦国時代を舞台にして主に「孟嘗君」を語るシリーズを始めます。
とにかくエピソードが豊富で、面白い人物がたくさん登場するのが春秋戦国時代。
ある程度、話を絞ってもそこそこ長くなりそうな予感です！
孟嘗君、本名は田文。斉の公子であり、政治家であり、武将であり、無頼漢の親玉でもあります。
当時の戦国二強の秦と斉。その王である昭襄王と湣王（びんおう）は、それぞれに「帝」を称するほど強大な権力を持ちましたが、それでも孟嘗君には敵いません。
さて、その孟嘗君とはどのような人であったのでしょうか？
ちなみに毎度のことながら、できるだけ史実に即して話をしようとは思いますが、特に今回、不明確な事柄も多く、細かい部分は私の推測や妄想で補っております。司馬遷の史記でもかなり事件や人物が混乱しているため、正直、正解がわからないことも多いのですが、その辺はエンターテイメントと割り切ってお付き合いくださればと思います。

私は２種類あると思っています。英語で言うと、taelnt と gift。勝手な解釈ですが、前者が向き不向き・得意不得意で、後者がみんな生まれ持って来たものなのかなと。自分のことを振り返ってみると、自覚のないまま、結局情熱の注げるコトへ身体が向かっていることに気がつきました。
