Am Ende dieses ereignisreichen Jahres hat mich Ralph Janik in seinen Podcast “Recht Politisch” eingeladen, um gemeinsam auf 2025 zurückzublicken. Das Jahr wurde vom 10-jährigen Jubiläum des “Langen Sommers der Migration” 2015 beherrscht, aber auch von einer immer hitziger geführten Migrationsdebatte über Sozialleistungen an Geflüchtete, Kriminalitätsstatistik und Rückführungen nach Syrien und Afghanistan. Wir stellen uns die Frage, welchen Beitrag eine kritische Migrations- und Rechtswissenschaft zu dieser Debatte leisten kann/muss, und welche Migrations- und Fluchtbewegungen uns in Zukunft erwarten werden.

Am 22. Oktober hat das Europäische Parlament einer Entschließung zugestimmt, die der EU helfen soll sich auf die kommende EU-Erweiterungen vorzubereiten. Das soll die EU als Ganzes krisenfester machen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei Mehrheitsentscheidungen, anstatt dass Einstimmigkeit im Rat nötig ist. Aber auch stärkere Kontrollrechte für das EU-Parlament und die Perspektive auf ein Initiativrecht des Parlaments sind enthalten. Darüber sprach Radio Corax mit dem Generalsekretär der Europaunion Deutschland und Vorstand der Europäischen Bewegung Deutschland Christian Moos.
