好きなことを貪欲に追求する。一見簡単なように見えますが、自分が本当に好きなことに出会いそれをとことん追求し続けることはきっと簡単ではないはず。いろんな誘惑に負けそうになったり、ついつい楽な道を選びがちですよね？夢に近づくためのヒントとなるような雄宇さんからのメッセージがたくさんの人に届きます様に。

1986年生まれ。東京都東久留米市出身。親の転勤により4歳よりシンガポールへ移住。日本人幼稚園・小学校に通い卒業までの8年間を過ごす。帰国後は東久留米市に戻り地元の中学、そして国際基督教大学高校に通いながら部活に明け暮れる6年を過ごす。高校二年生の時に打ち上がったJPLの火星ローバーミッションに憧れ2004年よりアリゾナ州の田舎町へ学部留学。卒業後コロラド大学大学院へ進学し、2013年に博士号を修了。同年よりJPLにてナビゲーションエンジニアとして小惑星ミッション、木星ミッション等に関わっている。今まで関わったミッションは準惑星ミッションDawn、木星ミッションJuno、小惑星サンプルリターンミッションOSIRIS-REx、エウロパ着陸機Europa Lander。

「１％の情熱ものがたり」前回に引き続き、33人目のインタビュー。高校二年生の時、NASA / JPLの火星ローバーミッションにより感じた衝撃と衝動が、憧れとなり今も変わらず人生の推進力となっているという雄宇さん。日本からアメリカに渡り、外国人というハードルを越えて手に入れたポジション。その情熱が少しでも多くの人に届け！と心底思う、そんなものがたりです。
